Narcotics Investigation in Rampart Area NR24001

La Mesa: Los Santos Police Department's (LSPD) Gang and Narcotics Division (GND) and Forensic Science Division (FSD) conducted a recovery investigation of a large quantity of narcotics in Rampart Area.

On April 27, 2024, around 4:40 p.m., Rampart Area uniform patrol officers responded to a radio call received from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCALS) Law Enforcement Division at the 8182 block of Popular Street, in the parking lot of the Darnell Bros Garment Factory. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the SPCALS officers, who had detained a suspect for being in possession of a large quantity of illegal narcotics. Upon the discovery of the illegal narcotics, officers requested Gang and Narcotics Division detectives. Forensic Science Division additionally aided in the recovery of the narcotics, with the deployment of the Field Investigation Unit and Narcotics Analysis Unit. 

Gang and Narcotics Division responded to the scene and supervised the collection of evidence by the Forensic Science Division. Forensic Science Division deployed the Field Investigation Unit and Narcotics Analysis Unit for the recovery and immediate testing of all substances located.
